[2] The town is home to Lincoln University, the oldest agricultural tertiary institution in the Southern Hemisphere and the smallest of New Zealand's eight universities. History [ edit] In 1862 James Edward FitzGerald of 'The Springs' subdivided some of his freehold land for the new township of Lincoln, named after the Earl of Lincoln, a foundation member of the Canterbury Association and from 1851 a member of the management committee. The site of Lincoln on the L1 River would allow for a flour mill to be built to service the growing farming district. Lincoln was laid out in a grid layout and FitzGerald named the four belts North, East, South and West and the cross streets after his own children Robert, Maurice and William. The main streets James, Edward and Gerald were names after himself. The new township steadily grew and by 1873 Lincoln had a post office, butcher, brewers, a baker and confectioner, a storekeeper who had a hotel, a wheelwright and a carpenter, and a blacksmith. The peaceful quality of Lincoln changed with the arrival of the railway line in 1875 and the opening of the Little River line in 1886.

Hi guys, I got accepted to the university of Sheffield and Newcastle. The fact is that I live in Romania, it would be my first time in the UK and I also have never worked and over there I'd need to get a part time job for about 15 hours a week. I would have accommodation and food paid for but I would still need to work for everything else. My other option is a university in Romania which is 800th in world ranking, so much worse than Newcastle or Sheffield. The thing is that in Romania I wouldn't have to work as my parents would be able to support me. I honestly don't know what to do, I'm afraid that I won't be able to find a job and I'll have to come back to Romania. Btw, the course is computers science and I'm 18. Any opinion would be appreciated. This is probably the biggest decision I've ever had to make and I'm scared as fuck honestly, mostly about studying and also working, I'm afraid that I won't be able to finish uni.
These five terms were schema, adaptation, assimilation, accommodation, and equilibrium. The text describes schema as: "the original patterns of thinking; the mental structures that people use for dealing with what happens in the environment" (Dolgin, 2011, 39). Adaptation is described as the ability for one to adjust to new information that they are learning that will increase their understanding. Assimilation is defined as being able to incorporate something in the environment into the existing structure of one's thought. Accommodation is defined as the individual would adjust to this new information and they would replace the new information with the old information that they already have. Equilibrium can be described as a balance between assimilation and accommodation. For my personal situation that I was dealing with Piaget talked about the idea of having to adapt to new information and with this new information it will increase the individuals ability to learn. For me I had to adapt to the fact that my grandfathers were gone, with this information I had to learn how to move on, accept the death and learn how to be a stronger person.
