Since tickets went on sale for the G1 Climax Opener in Dallas, ticket sales have been a bit disappointing to say the least. It seems, unfortunately as I am personally so excited for this show, like this show won't come near close to selling out. Now we can point to or debate exactly why (NJPW US marketing, Dallas as a location, ticket prices, 20K arena, losing the Elite, etc. ) What stimulates my interest though is exactly how much this show will end up drawing in the end. I like numbers, and I know some people on this subreddit do as well, so I have been tracking how tickets sell for the G1 Climax Night 1 since Mid March and wanted to share my findings. Normally, I like to track these figures every month, but with Best of the Super Juniors ending earlier this week and with Dominion tomorrow (which means G1 competitors and blocks should be announced in the next week and a half) I thought that it was important to check in now to see how Dominion and the block line ups affect ticket sales.

Mississippi has a strict voter ID law, but her local DMV, in a Black, working-class area of Jackson, had shuttered. The state also regularly and strategically purges voter rolls, she adds. And notarization, "a weird, extra step, " is hard for many people to obtain unless "somebody's aunty is a notary. " (Short, from the Southern Poverty Law Center, adds that it's even unclear where the ballot needs to be stamped. ) "It's just one thing after another, " Thomas says. "You almost have to be a gladiator to cast your vote in Mississippi. " The pandemic has added yet another element to systemic suppression (as has Hurricane Zeta, which left some absentee voters without power after it made landfall). That means the polls are poised to receive a large influx of voters on Tuesday. Experts and organizations are reiterating that voters should maintain social distance and take the relevant sanitary precautions. (The Secretary of State's voting guidelines say that voters will not be required to wear masks at polling places. )
