We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that venues remain open. This is the pub against which all others shall be judged If the world were about to end, we'd probably do what Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect do right before the Earth's destruction in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and go to the pub. And we're not talking just any pub – we'd make tracks to the Courthouse Hotel. The beautiful thing about this old boozer is that it's a pub designed to facilitate a good time on your terms. Want to sit up at the bar with a huge plate of fish and chips and watch back-to-back AFL games? This is the best place for it. Prefer to sink your tip money in pinball machines while you annihilate jugs of Stone and Wood Pacific Ale and Young Henrys Newtowner?

Semur-en-Auxois is on the Armancon River in the Cote-d'Or department of Burgundy, 20 kilometres south of Montbard and 30 kilometres north of Saulieu. A legend tells that Hercules built Semur after returning from Spain. I'm afraid I can't confirm whether this is true! However the town did play an important role in the Burgundian strategy during the Hundred Years War at a time that the powerful Dukes of Burgundy were opposed to the French throne. Explore Semur-en-Auxois The town is one of the most popular attractions of the region - not surprising because Semur-en-Auxois is a pretty town, built on a pink granite rocky outcrop above a river and watched over by the stout round towers of the castle. One important highlight of a visit is undoubtedly the first view as you approach the town and see the towers poised high above the river: this view across the bridge towards the towers is exceptional. Semur-en-Auxois has a wealth of cobbled streets lined with ancient houses, shops and cafes and unusual features to explore and enjoy.

Dublin is an ideal destination to study English. It is the capital of the Republic of Ireland and while walking throughout its streets you can feel a charming and spicy mix of culture, freedom, history and art. Dublin is a lovely city and this is one of the reasons why it has become a popular destination for educational trips. In order to live and study English in Dublin, it is good to bear in mind two important events that marked its history: one is the struggle for the independence from England, which held Ireland for seven centuries, and the other is the conflicts between Catholics and Protestants. Careful! On these two topics the Irish are sensitive and it is best to be careful with your comments. To understand a bit how this magnificent city is, let's start from the first century BC near the River Liffey, when the city was founded by the wadays, from any of the bridges crossing the river, you can enjoy a phenomenal sunset. Let's keep going with the history of Dublin. In mid V century, St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, introduced Christianity in Ireland, which was a variant of Roman Christianity: in fact, it also borrowed religious elements of the Druids and pagan rituals.
