Noun: Generally a small, raggedy place (usually a bar or a club) that has very low quality equipment, furniture, etc but sometimes will provide the best variety of entertainment on any given night. Defining characteristics include: holes in walls/ ceilings, nonflushing toilets, a ceiling fan instead of central air, $5 "to get in", and only one bartender. Most of these types of places are found in the country and in the south. "Man, forget all that upscale crap!! Tonite I am going to the hole in the wall! " "I heard that the hole in the wall on the other side of town got shut down by the city because it failed the building inspection". "If you wanna go and have a good time without getting too fresh, try going to the hole in the wall" A public beach in Pointe au Baril, Ontario, following the definition of a hidden-away seedy location. Dangerous games and foolish drunken endeavors ensue. A gem of a place. Nowhere to go, let's jam at hole in the wall

I have a home in OOB ME and two in NH. Doubletree has always been a go-to place for out of town guests and for a vacation at home getaway so we could use the indoor pool in the winter. Well, we just sold our two NH houses and my mom's condo at Newfound lake in NH and bought a home in Hollis ME so my widowed mom could live with us. We were all exhausted from moving so many houses and a bit bedraggled to say the least so I decided to book a "fun" overnight "getaway" to welcome her to her new neighborhood. Boy did that blow up in my face!! Got there Friday night and found out my booking was changed from Friday night to Thursday night without my knowledge so I lost my room! No manager was on duty so they said all they could do was book me a new room at $20 more than the room I booked!! On top of that, I had already paid for the room I had booked!! So I paid $280 for the room total and my original price was $129!! Worse than all this is that the front desk staff kept whispering and rolling their eyes at each other as I tried to find a solution to the mess!!
I am not going to suggest an itinery as if you use the advance search box /youtube you cn find out more than enough on getting around but my general advice is simplify your trip. 72 posts 12 reviews 77 helpful votes 2. 6 Mar. 2021, 2:44 am That's quite a trip to fit in for three weeks but it could be done with plenty of flights thrown in. Route suggestion would be: Multi city return flight MAN- BKK HKT-MAN (I know you said you didn't fancy Phuket but bear with me).... Bangkok up to Chiang Mai then fly to Luang Prabang, Fly to KUL via Bangkok, then Penang (never been but think City Break) or Langkawi (have been, long time ago, think more beach holiday) then to save time, if that's ever possible, I'd stick to Krabi and the immediate area with easy transport to Phuket for your flight home. Yep, a lot to fit in, in 3 weeks. Fingers crossed this 'Travel Cancelling Hell' that is Covid will be sorted by then as I may just bump into you. Edited: 06 March 2021, 02:46 103 posts 3. 6 Mar. 2021, 5:42 am MY first thought is that the more borders you cross, the more at risk your trip might be.

Eat your way around Italy Here are just a few of our favourite regional specialities… Arancini These moreish rice balls hail from Sicily. They're coated in crispy breadcrumbs and stuffed with all sorts of tasty fillings. Nduja sausage This spicy salumi comes courtesy of Calabria, the sun-drenched region that forms the toe of Italy's boot. Enjoy it on pizza or bruschetta. Parma ham Prosciutto di Parma is produced in Emilia-Romagna. It's salted and cured for at least a year, giving it its distinctive (and delicious) flavour. Veneto wines Veneto (home to Venice, Verona and parts of Lake Garda) turns out some of Italy's finest wines. Our favourites? Easy-to-drink reds from Bardolino and Valpolicella. Margherita pizza If you're ordering pizza in Naples, it has to be a margherita. Invented locally, its toppings (mozzarella, basil and tomato) represent the colours of the Italian flag. Limoncello There's only one way to round of a meal in Sorrento: limoncello. This super-sweet liqueur is made using the area's supersized lemons.
